Apps for iPhone Developers
Team here at Mobile Test Kitchen is in crunch mode. We are all hands on deck to get our first app out. More about that app soon, hopefully real soon.
Working on an app is hard work, here are a two apps that we are using to make it a bit easier:
AD Hoc Helper: This app is so simple but so useful. It makes it easy to copy and send your UDID code. The UDID code allows programmers to set up a test version of the app on your phone. If you have tried to get UDID codes from beta testers, you know this one is a must have. People just don’t know how to find there UDID codes and if they do they make mistakes copying it down. And its free!
Nomina: Branding an iPhone app is challenging. You want it to be descriptive, easy to remember and distinctive. And most importantly it needs to be available! Nomina makes it easier to make sure you can use that name via an url availabilty, trademark database, itunes library and even common-law usages searches. It’s easy to use and a great deal at $4.99.
But our wish list on apps we could use is longer. I searched and I searched for the below apps but couldn’t find:
Sreencast app: An app that makes it easy to capture your iphone screens into a quick screen cast. I need this to do a demo and a tutorial.
Screen share app: a share your screen app that lets you share iPhone screens.
A ulab app: an app that lets you see folks play with your iPhone app so you can see how you are doing on usability.
Maybe there is not enough demand to merit some of these apps but a girl can dream. Sometimes there really isn’t an app for that.
Is there any apps that you would add to the list? Apps that exist or should be built?
