“Mom, We love your new job!”
This is officially my first week as a full time start-up chick. So far, I love it. And so do my kids. They have noticed how happy I am pursuing something I have always wanted to do, start a business. It feels great to show them that you can “Do It”!
Things are looking good for the new business so far. We are getting great feedback but we are in early stages so it’s too soon to tell we. But right now I almost don’t care. I am just happy that I finally did it. I stopped just talking and started doing. It really feels good. Someone asked me what made it happen this time. Beyond the ‘good’ idea and great partner, I will be honest and say that “writing a check” makes a big difference. Nothing gets you more focused on making it happen than investing a little cash and knowing you got to earn it back. Add stop getting a regular pay check and you got some serious motivation to make it happen.

So now it’s about execution and keeping the focus! Blogher feels like the perfect place to start!
